Join Tasmania Golf Club
Join one of Tasmania’s premier golf clubs, which is ranked in Australia's top 100 courses. Experience everything that makes Tasmania Golf Club a favourite among golfers of all ages and abilities. With all membership categories currently open, there has never been a better time to join our club community. Best of all, there are no joining fees and no waiting lists. Our membership year runs from 1 July to 30 June each year.
We offer a range of membership options designed to suit a variety of lifestyles and playing preferences. Our most popular category, Full Membership, provides unlimited golf seven days a week (subject to course availability), along with access to our clubhouse, practice facilities, competitions, and member benefits.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Barilla Bay, our course is widely regarded as one of Tasmania’s finest. In member surveys, the quality and design of the course consistently rank among the top reasons golfers choose Tasmania Golf Club over other clubs throughout the state.
Beyond the course itself, members enjoy access to extensive practice facilities, a welcoming club environment, regular competitions, and professional coaching programs. Membership Categories
Full 7 Day Membership
As a financial Full Member of Tasmania Golf Club, you will enjoy a comprehensive range of benefits designed to maximise your golfing experience:

Official Golf Australia Handicap through affiliation with Golf Australia.

Unlimited playing rights whenever the course is available to members, seven days a week.

Eligibility to enter and win all Board events, Club Championships, honour board competitions, and major club tournaments.

Access to regular competitions throughout the year upon payment of the applicable competition fee.

Reciprocal playing rights at a wide range of affiliated clubs throughout Tasmania, Australia, and internationally.

Full access to our clubhouse and practice facilities (driving range, putting green, and chipping green with practice bunkers).
6 Day Membership
A financial 6 Day Member is entitled to all the benefits of a Full Member, with the following exceptions:

Playing rights are available six days per week, with Saturday excluded.

Members may play on Saturdays upon payment of the applicable higher competition fee.

Eligibility to enter and win Board events, Club Championships, honour board events, and major club competitions is subject to a premium entry fee.

Reciprocal playing rights at affiliated clubs are available on eligible playing days only.
General Membership
A financial General Member is entitled to all the benefits of a full member with the following exceptions:

When playing in a time allocated to competition fields, the general member will pay a competition fee of $30 or $40 on Saturday.

Eligibility to enter and win Board events, Club Championships, honour board events, and major club competitions is subject to a premium entry fee.

When playing in a time not allocated to a competition, no fee is required.

Does not receive reciprocal rights with associated clubs.
General Limited Membership
A financial General Limited Member is entitled to all the benefits of a General Member, with the following exceptions:

Playing rights are available every day, except Saturdays, where play is restricted to social golf only after 3:00pm.

When playing in a time allocated to competition fields, the General Limited Member will pay the applicable competition fee of $30.
-
When playing in times not allocated to a competition, no green fee is required (outside of Saturday restrictions noted above).

Not eligible to participate in Club competitions, Board events, or Pennant fixtures.

Does not receive reciprocal playing rights at associated clubs.
Introductory Membership
Only available to Tasmanian Residents who have not been a member at the Club previously. The in Introductory Member receives the following benefits:

10 rounds of 18 holes, or 20 rounds of 9 holes (to be nominated at the time of your first round).

A Golf Australia official handicap.

Eligibility to participate in both social golf and club competitions (excluding Club Championships and Pennant).

When playing during competition fields, the applicable competition fees will apply.

A complimentary golf clinic with the Club Professional.

A 10% discount voucher for the Pro Shop.
-
$50 Clubhouse credit to enjoy food and beverage offerings.

Does not receive reciprocal playing rights at associated clubs.
Beginner 9-Hole Membership
Designed specifically for new or beginner golfers looking to try the game in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

6-month, non-renewing membership designed as an introductory pathway into golf.

Entitles the holder to 9-hole social play only.

Play permitted every day except Saturday, with play available from 3:00pm onwards on all eligible days.

No Golf Australia handicap is issued under this membership category.

Not eligible to participate in club competitions, daily competitions, Club Championships, Pennant, or Board events.

Focus is purely on social play and learning the game at your own pace.

At the completion of the 6-month term, members are eligible to transition into the Introductory Membership pathway or other categories that they see fit.
Cadet 12 & Under,
Junior 13 -17 Years,
Colt 18 - 25 Years,
Intermediate 26 - 30 Years
As a Cadet, Junior, Colt, or Intermediate Member of Tasmania Golf Club, you receive all the benefits of a Full 7-Day Membership at a discounted rate as per your age. Some restrictions may apply.
Full-time Student Membership
This membership is available to individuals who are undertaking full-time study and can provide suitable evidence of enrolment as part of a further application process. All applications are subject to approval to confirm eligibility for this category.
Full-Time Student Members enjoy the same playing rights and benefits as Full 7-Day Members, offered at a discounted rate, providing full access to club golf while supporting students during their studies.
Social Membership
A Social Member of the Club enjoys a relaxed way to be part of the community while still having access to the game and facilities:

Full access to all practice facilities, including the driving range, putting green, and chipping areas.

5 social rounds of 18 holes per subscription year, available at the discounted member’s guest rate.

The above rounds can be accessed after 3:00pm, every day except Saturday.

Full access to the clubhouse, including bar and dining facilities.
